Lights for the helmet

Depending on weather conditions, Enduro GP and National GP riders will ride some of the Enduro Tests at dim or dark. Veteran and C-classes of National GP will ride some special tests at dark. On March 25, sun will set at 18:45. Therefore the organizer recommends to use at least helmet light.

Attaching fixed headlights to helmet is forbidden in the FIM and national regulations.

The organizer recommends to use detachable plastic mounting plate and attach it on peak/visor with Velcro. In case of accident the mounting plate detaches from the helmet.

In the images below you can see how the lights have been mounted to a bent plastic plate and fixed on peak/visor with Velcro.

The output of the Swedish LEDX lights in the below images is 5500 lumen (ref. manufacturer website)
Videos on the use of lights while riding are available at the manufacturer’s website. The battery can be placed in a small hydration pack. At the highest power supply the lamp gives light about one hour. When the battery is nearly depleted from the higher power settings, it automatically goes down to the lower effect. According to the manufacturer, the lamp will at this point give light for another hour at 6 %.
